Noticeboard

Covid-19 (Coronavirus): Information and updates

(1)   Please carefully read the information from the Department for Education website.

(2)   Are you a key worker?

Government guidance is for parents to keep their children at home to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Schools have been asked to remain open for a limited number of children - children who are vulnerable and children whose parents are critical to the COVID-19 response and cannot be safely cared for at home. If the nature of your work belongs in one of the keyworker categories defined by the Government, please contact us so that we inform you of the arrangements we have in place.

(3)   Staff will be available on email during the school day in order to answer any queries from students and will aim to answer in a timely fashion.

(4)   Safety of community:

To help preserve the health of our immediate and wider community, please inform us if any Bosco Centre student/EY (Early Years) has a confirmed case (or symptoms) of COVID-19 so that we can take the appropriate measures.

(5)   Home-learning (College):

As a reminder, staff have been busy setting work for students so that they do not miss out on learning and are not put at a disadvantage on their return. We will be running online lessons through Microsoft Teams; also, staff are setting work (for two weeks: 23rd March 2020 to 3rd April 2020) to ensure students have manageable tasks to complete. We do encourage parents (and carers) to support students in completing this by setting out a routine at home.

(6)   Online resources can be accessed through:

  • BKSB Live

  • Microsoft Teams – if you wish to be included in online lessons, please download this application either from your phone or computer.
